Lisa Lazo Foresman is the owner of Massage Integration, now celebrating 10 years of offering mobile massage services. She created Massage Integration to provide superior mobile spa massage to her clients at their home, office hotel or event. She was recently interviewed by VoyageDallas.com, discussing her becoming an LMT, challenges in building Massage Integration, and what the future holds for her and her mobile massage company.
Voyage Dallas – Today we’d like to introduce you to Lisa Foresman of Massage Integration. Lisa is a massage therapist and energy healer, and her company provides massage at their client’s home, work, hotel and events in Dallas, Austin and Houston, TX.
Lisa, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today. I am the owner of Massage Integration, a mobile massage company that provides massage at our clients’ home, office, hotel and events. I am a licensed massage therapist and energy healer, since 2002, and have worked in many different types of environments such as salons, high end spas, chiropractic offices, and hospitals. I honestly didn’t set out to create a mobile massage business, or know that I would one day be managing massage therapists in multiple cities. But after a couple of important opportunities came my way, it became clear that I needed to seriously consider exploring the on-site massage business model. While providing on-site chair massage and full body massage for a hotel near Dallas Love Field and onsite massage for employees at 3 business high rises in Dallas and Las Colinas, I knew I could not do this work on my own. I knew I had to have a team of talented massage therapists who loved this work just as much as I do. I was very excited to officially establish Massage Integration, LLC in 2008, and go through the learning curves of managing a business. But the company didn’t begin to truly take off until I met Kevin Foresman who has a background in website development and social media joined forces with me in 2011. His partnership took Massage Integration to a whole new level because we now had a very professional website, a well ranked online presence, and we could now work together to manage our staff and operations. I can’t tell you how exciting it was to get our first phone call from our new website from a hotel client in Fort Worth. We have since been organically growing our client base in the Dallas, Fort Worth and surrounding cities offering both chair and table massage services to in-home, hotel and corporate clients. It’s been an awesome journey to be a part of a wellness business that helps so many people let go of stress and feel good in their body. We couldn’t do this without our amazing team of massage therapists, and our wonderful clients who continue to book with us and refer us to their friends and family. Kevin and I are now married and we enjoy collaborating and moving our company forward while working on art, music, and traveling in our spare time.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you? I wouldn’t say it’s been easy, but there has been a good flow overall. Some of the challenges has been getting the word out about our mobile massage services. Most people who go to spas may not realize that they can get a massage in the comfort and privacy of their own home. Educating companies that the best way to decrease stress and injury in the office is to offer chair massage onsite for their employees. And of course, finding easier ways to manage the day to day operations and dispatching for a mobile massage business. These are all ongoing challenges of the business as we work on expanding our client base.

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business? Absolutely. There have been moments of pure lucky circumstances such as the time when I was given a brand new massage table and massage chair because it had been sitting in a hotel luggage closet for over a year that no one had claimed. The hotel manager was happy to get rid of it, and I was thrilled too! What are the chances of that? And then there are the kind of lucky opportunities that feel more like divine guidance. I’ll never forget when I received a call from a massage therapist looking to find a therapist to take over her chair massage clients because she was expecting her second child, and changing direction in her life. She found me through another massage therapist whom I had just met. I thought it was just 4 businesses, which is a lot, but it ended up being a company in Dallas, and 3 corporate high rises in Las Colinas! This opportunity with lots of hard work and commitment helped pave the way for Massage Integration to specialize in on-site massage services. Our company blessed the staff with 15min chair massages this week for 2days in the office. Each day we had a different therapist. From all the feedback I received, everyone enjoyed it. Some chose not to partake therefore giving others extra time to enjoy. This was my very first chair massage experience and I also enjoyed it! I would recommend them. From the owner to the therapist, we experience great professionalism. I sure hope our boss blesses us again before 2019 is over!

We used Massage Integration for a teacher appreciation event and got awesome feedback. Our attendance to the event was higher than average and people were pumped to get a 10 minute massage at the end of a long day. They were MUCH more more affordable than I expected and were so professional! All 3 LMTs arrived early and 2 stayed late to make sure everyone got a massage who wanted one. We will definitely use them again!
